Who doesn’t like fruit rolls? A very tasty and healthy snack for both yourself and your children. I really enjoy doing this. I can make a variety of fruits. Whichever one I want. The smells emitted from the dryer when making this recipe are really incredible. Just wait 4-5 hours patiently to do. I don’t think it’s too long for a dehydrator recipe 🙂
I hope you try and enjoy it.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 Banana (ripe)
- 2 tbsp Cacao Powder
- 1 tbsp Coconut Sugar (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
1.In a food processor puree 4 ripe bananas, broken in to chunks, 2 tbsp cacao powder and 1 tbsp coconut sugar until smooth.
2.Spread out to 1/4 inch (0.5cm) thickness, as evenly as possible, on a drying tray lined with parchment paper, leaving it slightly thicker around the edges. – if the edges are too thin, it can break.
3.Dehydrate at 130 °F (55°C) for about 9/11 hours.
4.Start checking leather after 4/5 hours. When top is very firm and edges are easy to lift, carefully peel leather from sheet, flip over and continue drying.
5.Using scissors, cut the leather into strips.
